Retrofit

Featuring talented ex Vibe members Bob Brisbane on vocals and percussion, John Clements on guitar and Shane Pooley (Hip Mo Toast) on upright bass, Retrofit are an exceptional combination of dynamic musicianship. Their set list consists of a combination of popular contemporary rock, pop and past hits using jazz instrumentation, giving each track that unique Retrofit vibe.

Strutt Featuring Ses Sayer

Cool, Smooth & Funky are words that spring to mind when listening to one of Perth's leading soul bands. Ses' moody vocal style and slick delivery lend authenticity to the great songs of soul legends, Sam & Dave, Barry White and Sam Cooke to name a few. Together with his wonderfully talented band Strutt, they create an ambience rarely seen in Perth.

The Members of Ses Sayer and Strutt all have particularly impressive musical backgrounds. Individually, they have played with some of the biggest names and theatrical shows in the business including, James Morrison, Tommy Emanuel, James Ingram, Porgie & Bess, The Boy from Oz, My Fair Lady, and many others. While providing a warm, sophisticated ambience, these exceptionally talented musicians will perform music made popular by all the soul greats with a delivery which is strong yet smooth. Nightmoves

Nightmoves are a six-piece dance band featuring talented musicians who bring an atmosphere of rhythm and fun to Friday nights with a smooth, polished delivery. Their repertoire consists of an exciting mixture of funk, soul, reggae, R&B and contemporary rock, which is performed with their own musical interpretation and a high level of energy.

Animal Jam

Animal Jam is an energetic, high-octane, five-bodied music machine, dealing out the latest top 40 hits and funky R&B dance grooves, with a healthy serving of entertainment!

Maera Paki

Maera has the talent to show and portray so many styles of music in a single session. You are guaranteed to experience Soul, Soft Rock, R&B, Reggae, Country and Blues and more from this artist. Maera's strong vocal abilities range from the low to high registers, and feedback from listeners have likened her voice from Aretha Franklin to Tracy Chapman.

In her time of playing original music around Perth, Maera has been fortunate to play with some of Perth’s most talented artists. She enjoys the versatility of playing as a solo, duo, trio or as a band, which has allowed her music to extend to heights beyond her comprehension, with every performance encompassing a variety of music genres.

Howie Morgan

Playing songs from Sting, John Mayer, Cold Play, Ray Charles, Hendrix, Radio Head, Herbie Hancock, Crowded House, and George Benson as well as a repertoire of originals the band delivers a musical feast of sounds every performance.

Fronted by Singer/guitarist Howie Morgan the band has been resident at Universal bar for four years and the current line up includes the very talented rhythm section of Jarrod Pizzata (Drums/vocals) and Dishan Abrahams (Bass). Past performances at the universal have included performances with members of Jamiroqui, Craig David and Wilson Pickett’s bands and the band has recently supported Peter Frampton, Daryl Brathwaite and Thirsty Merc. Soul Corporation

Soul Corporation was founded by Ian Dennis in the early to mid 90's, after joining forces with long time soul-brothers Sonny, Joey and Alan to create a professional, high energy, exciting, friendly and interactive band that has the ability to cater for a wide range of musical tastes with a 'kick butt' attitude towards their audience!
